Collection includes research materials, including diaries, maps, rosters, and printed items pertaining to the Battle of New Orleans, the Civil War in Louisiana, the Washington Artillery, the Louisiana National Guard, the history of the Florida Parishes, and many other subjects in Louisiana history; a manuscript draft of Casey's "Try Us: The Story of the Washington Artillery in World War II" and typescripts of other of his published writings; and Casey's correspondence concerning historical research and subjects.
